Long a favored shopping destination in the Southeast region, it is now working hard to present an artistic vision highlighted by the many new murals being painted throughout downtown. Currently there are five major building murals with a sixth in progress and six quilt murals.  These murals are depicting a little of both the history of Havana as well as some depiction of the future. These murals represent the work of talented muralists throughout Florida. Their appearance is intended to increase the attractiveness of downtown and provide a catalyst for increasing the visitor traffic to this historic district.  FUN is what you experience when you walk the pedestrian friendly streets of downtown Havana and visit its eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and galleries. The experience is enhanced by the artistic expressions portrayed in these new murals.
